Shed Hunting Sub?

I hunt year round. Part of that is antler hunting. Some of my best adventures have been in search of antlers. Here’s a good day this December. 13 mile round trip over a big mountain. Good times.

I’m sure there’s sports to watch, or cruising forums, you name it. But for me it’s the mountains.

I would rather be nowhere else than the Mountains, year round, so that includes Spring. Too much of an antler addict and fascinated by Game not too. One more thing to keep me agile and healthy, every time I shed hunt I learn, and the more I learn the better Hunter I become.

That's so cool. I dont get out a whole lot in the spring, but I've been doing spring bear the last few years. I've NEVER found a shed. I dont actively look for them but sure would be cool!

Yes, there should be a shed hunting subforum. Love shed hunting and Morel hunting in the spring.

Ohio, in the woods mostly. Some field edges. Second one on the left. Can't miss it.

Found the first ones on Wednesday. Found the first two looking out the truck window. Matched the second one up. All mostly buried in the snow. Pretty cool finding them that way. Especially when it's 15 degrees and blowing out of the north.

Just want to make sure we are giving the winter ranges the space they need. I currently only look for blacktail sheds in my local area and wait until much later for elk and muleys

My wife actually found a SET of a spike about like yours in our front yard one year. Pretty sure I had hiked close to 20 miles that day and found zero or one lol.
