Sharpening Broadheads

Pardon the stupid question, but what do you guys find to be the best tool/tools for sharpening your broadheads? Stones? Other sharpeners? DMT double sided diafolds? Anything else? Specifically 2 blade broadheads if that matters. Thanks

Tried sharpening my magnus black hornets this year using some Japanese Whetstones 250, 1000, 6000 grit stones

and surprisingly they worked pretty well! it was difficult to get the angle just right without the arrow.
But I had good luck with them and it was fairly cheap to get into

Check out the Stay Sharp. I have one and it works really well!

The two files mounted on a wood block, finished with crock sticks,, is about as good as it gets.



But I bought the folks a Work Sharp cause their kitchen knives are in bad shape.




Tried it with some broadheads, and that is by far the quickest, and easiest way to put a razor edge on them.

I use the guide and sand paper, then cardboard and buffing compound.


Lots of ways to do it, I do like the guide. Makes a nice even and consistent edge.

I cut 6 inches off the insert end of an old arrow and use that for a handle to sharpen broadheads. I like a fine grit diamond stone for sharpening pretty much everything. I have the electric work sharp but mainly use that for axes and the lawnmower blades. I did get work sharp guided field sharpener for Christmas and keep that in my truck. I've had good luck with that too.
