I've got an old school X Ray (gen2). Taking a trip to Glacier in August and was thinking about using the X Ray for a carry on for extra shoes and gear and then using the pack for day hikes.
Then, I got looking at the Shape Charge, similar size and I think I might like the set up better.
Yet, I see a lot of them for sale on the used market. And $500.00 is another issue.
Main use was out hiking shoes, water bottles, etc. Looks like the SC might be easier to access and hold a tad bit more.
