Does anyone actually prefer the Krux over the Xcurve. Do the waist belts fit differently, larger or smaller, thicker or thinner. Is there less lumbar support needed do to the curved frame on the Xcurve. Trying to decide between the two.
Anyone with first hand experience on the fit difference between the two.
thanks

I love my solo krux. That being said, my hunting buddy just got the 5900 Xcurve. Get the Xcurve. It's so comfortable. With 50lbs in it, it felt like 20lbs. I didn't notice where mine wasn't contacting my waist and hips, Until I tried the new one. I'm not going to run out and buy one tomorrow, but I will eventually get one. As far as the the curved carbon stays, it just keeps everything closer to your back which makes it more balanced. Don't even consider the old model, it's a no-brainer.

I'm not sure about hip belt thickness differences, but the dual straps on the belt are a deal maker for certain on me. The new curve frame really does keep the load sucked in close to the back and it's amazingly stable. I'd go XCurve, I don't think you'll be disappointed. If saving a little bit of weight is your priority, then maybe the standard Krux would do it for you.

I am no expert since I don't own either (although I just got shipping notice on an Xcurve) but I think if you have a flat back you might want to go with the Krux since it isn't curved.

I have tried both, my brother in law has the Krux with both the one piece and three piece belts and I have the new X-Curve. I have more of curved lumbar area so IMHO the X-Curve is a much better frame/belt.

does anyone know why the 1" webbing that the shoulder harness feeds through on the frame is 1" lower on the Xcurve Frame compared to the Krux Frame.. Is this going to change how the shoulder harness fits (adjustment) or how the shoulder straps wrap over your shoulder as the (anchor ) point would be 1" lower.

Pushbush, the 1" webbing retention for the shoulder straps is now lower on the Krux as well, at the same level for both the Krux and Xcurve. This lower placement allows for more shoulder strap contact with the shoulder on shorter torsos, a more subtle transition off the frame.
Best,
Kurt

Kurt, Thank you for the explanation. A friend and his son have both styles of the Frames and are set up the same ( shoulder harnesses torso size) I tried both on, as did my friend and we both noticed a space between my lower shoulder and were the shoulder harness retention strap is on the Xcurve but not on the Krux, (the Krux retention strap is 1" higher than the Xcurve) is this just an adjustment issue because of the location of retention strap.
The other noticeable difference is in the waist belt, the Xcurve is thinner than his Krux waist belt , is that because of the new foam in the Xcurve waist belt.
thanks
