SG XCurve head contact?

I've worn the Krux for awhile. When I look up the back of my head will contact the bag (I'm 5'9"). I tried on an XCurve one time and it seemed way more comfortable but I didn't pay attention to the bag being closer to my head. Will this drive me crazy?

If you have it adjusted rite you shouldn’t make contact. I’m 5’9 as well and I don’t have a problem with it.

Your load lifters may be too tight. That's the only thing I can think of.

The only time I experience this issue is when I’m heading up a steep incline and trying to look up in the direction I’m going. I think if you’re having this issue on flat terrain or even mild inclines, you probably should try and make some adjustments to your frame.

No it's not an issue for me with the krux, this is like when I look up in the top of a tree for a mountain lion - looking way veritcally - my head will contact the bag. Doesn't bother me but made me think I need a 22" frame.

It does look like the bag is much closer in this thread - https://www.rokslide.com/forums/threads/stone-glacier-x-kurve.58677/post-608479 - so thought I would ask.

It depends on the length of your torso, shorter torso and x-curve may be a problem. It was for me @6' but SG send me krux stays so all is now good. They also sent me short shoulder straps.

I guess how high you wear the belt will also play a part in this as well.

Tried a 5900 on an xcurve for the first time last week and when it was fully loaded I had the same problem as OP when looking up - back of head hits the top of frame/bag so I can't move my head back all the way. May talk to SG customer service about it soon and see if the fit is right. SG has offered to facetime me through an issue before so they've been great in helping out.
