SG water bladder setup?

How do you guys hook-up your water bladders inside your SG packs? With no factory hooks and no desire to run a bladder bag what do you do? Anyone use a hooking system? I run a 3L big zip with a Sawyer so I need to removable and want to keep it minimalist. Guessing others have been though this already, so any help would be great.

I have camelback 3L that has a hook. I connected the hook to the handle on the top of the Krux frame the bottom part secured in the meat shelf and Solo bag cinched on top.

I use a couple of the light weight caribiners you can get from different places. Zpacks or what not.

For that matter, I am sure dollar store versions are light enough too.

I clip the to the same spot you'd thread in the water bladder bag. I think...or maybe there is just a couple of loops of some kind already there. I can't remember as they have been in there so long and I never take them out.

Then of course, I hook them to the handle on the Platypus.

Works very well.

I actually ordered the bladder bag this year but haven't tried it yet. Have a friend who uses it and likes it. But not sure I see the need. But will give it a go.

I put my 3L Camelbak in the spotting scope pocket on my Approach bag when I use the SG.

So far that's the only hang up about the bag is why didn't you put in a simple hook like Kuiu. Pretty small problem, seems easy enough for me to handle myself. Otherwise the 5900 is pretty nice bag

Not sure why you need a bag to hold a bag. I try my best not to add things to my pack that serve no benefit just to add weight. Some of us have different approaches that's why Kuiu and stone glacier bags/packs appeal to me, more minimalist approach.

Not saying I don't like the bag or even thinking about getting rid of it, just wondered why they didn't add a simple hook or attachment of some sort.

Plus how do you run a bladder bag and swing out pouches at the same time?

Just trying to get the bag adjusted to my needs not trying to make a big deal about it.

There is multiple positions for swing out pocket attachments. Not just the two at the top. Also like others have said, carabeaners work, or some guys just tie a piece of paracord between the attachment points and loop it through their bladder.

Just easy access, less chance of freezing. I'll be looking at the load shelf option if it works better for this pack.

I just ordered a X Curve and Sky 5900. I plan on running the water bladder in the meat shelf area hanging. I should have it in a few weeks

There is multiple positions for swing out pocket attachments. Not just the two at the top. Also like others have said, carabeaners work, or some guys just tie a piece of paracord between the attachment points and loop it through their bladder.

I've only found the 2 in my 5900. Not sure where the others are if you'd be able to take a picture or explain where they're located would so appreciate it.
