I was out last week in Southern Colorado for a bear hunt and got caught in a wind event on Tuesday night and then ferocious outflow winds and then a 6 hour rain and hail storm on Wednesday night. My SG Sky Solus 1P tent held up very well and the only leak I had was from the rear vent that I inadvertently left open. When I broke down my camp on Saturday morning, I noticed a small, maybe 1.25 inch area near the front of the tent, had some stictchnig coming undone. One of the hail events was around nickel size but only lasted a few minutes while the others were tons of pea size hail. I plan on sending SG an email to see if it would be covered under their life time warranty or if I should just try to sow it up before my elk hunt next month? I don't know what caused the stitching to come undone, maybe the larger hail, but if it's not covered, would simply sowing it back up and seam sealing it fix it sufficiently? I bought it last July. Any experiences by you all in situations like this?
