Anyone have any experience with these pants?
Pros/cons.

Currently have a sitka thunderhead jacket, not looking for something as quiet as that, but looking for something....
Any input is helpful!

Fit great over my catalyst or Corrugate guide pants, are pretty comfy, the waist fits as advertised under a pack belt (very comfortable), the tan color looks nice and zippers are high quality. I don’t feel like they will rip too easily, they feel about mid range weight wise. I have not used them in rain yet or tried to sit in a swamp but they handle snow easily, block wind exceptionally well and they move very well too. Sadly there is no rain in the forecast for us so I can’t get you some of the most important info (how dry you stay). Lastly I have not noticed any excessive noise from the M5s.

How do they fit in the legs? Are they relaxed or trim fitting? I've been interested in these, but I typically have trouble finding rain paints that fit well with a smaller waist and larger thighs. I have the Sitka Downpour and they fit "ok", but not great.

They have a straight leg kind of fit. It’s definitely not relaxed fit with tons of extra material. I feel like I can be active through most of what AK has to offer and I’m fairly confident that they aren’t going to snag on random things.

I bought the jacket, but passed on the pant due to the fit. I'd prefer a rain pain to fit a little more "loose" for layering and ease of getting them on. I agree with the above, they are kind of a "straight leg" fit. With that said, I'm pretty excited to try the jacket. I will continue to use my Dewpoint pants for my "lightweight" rain pants.

Thanks for the feedback. I prefer a looser fit as well, and for the same reasons you mention. It would be really nice to be able to try this stuff on instead of relying on a website sizing chart. I did see recently where they are going to be opening up some select retailers to do this, but looks like the closest is still about 4 hrs away.

Post back when you get a chance to use the jacket!

this was my EXACT same experience, the jacket is excellent but the pants didn’t fit me great, they were too tight in the thighs and there is no way they would have gone over another pair of pants unless I sized up but that isn’t ideal for me. I’ll probably just use kuiu Chugach or kutana pants, maybe something from Sitka.
