Do pack companies maintain the same sewing standards on all their packs? As in, will a daypack be sewn to the same standards as the highest end multi day meat hauler from the same company. Or is the assumption that a daypack won’t be carrying enough weight so no need to reinforce here and there, no need to bounce stitch etc.....

From what I noticed a good company will maintain same quality even on accessories. However, you may notice some reinforcement on heavier rated packs....but quality should be the same.

We make everything pretty much the same way Poeschel, regardless of size or intended use. The belt pouches have the same construction methods and materials as our Ma Deuce. Makes things easier for training the sewers if you standardize your processes.

It all depends on who’s sewing it and where it’s being sewn. If it’s made in China, forget it. You may as well buy a pack from Walmart. In other words it ain’t gonna last.......
