Just had this bow restrung at a reputable bow shop about 1 month ago. Have shot maybe 100 arrows with the new string and cables. Noticed what looks like unraveling serving at the end loop. Im new to archery and wondering if this looks normal or is a problem? Thank you guys.1000004503.jpg

I'm not sure. I'm a complete beginner to archery. The bow is an older Bowtech Admiral. Like I said, just has new strings and cables put on it at a pro shop about 1 month ago.

Well I would not say the pro shop is to blame unless they made those strings but I’d take it back so they can replace em. Maybe have them break the bow down and clean it

Former bow tech at an archery shop here,

take the bow back to the pro shop. Strings shouldn’t be doing that in that spot for a long time or maybe never in its service life. String mfg should warranty it, or pro shop should reserve the cable

Thank you for the input guys. I'm just gonna take it back to the shop and have them look at the bow. I live in BFE and the closet shop is 2.5 hours, which is why I was asking here in the first place.

Update...sent photos to pro shop of the serving...they said everything looks normal and bow is fine to shoot. What do you guys think?

What bow is this?

Some bows are hard on strings around the module, these bows need the more premium stings with the more slipperys servings. As a example my older Bowtech speed bow I had to use the ABB premium line and the stings lasted much longer.

However the serving separation your're seeing is not in the normal spot to see wear, you should see it further down the serving where the string is rolling on and off the module. A quality sting company will warranty this sting if its a string serving failure. A decent shop can repair the sting serving also.

It also looks like your module screws have been swapped out, they do not look like the correct ones sitting on top instead of inside. These screws are prone to loosing, if that module has moved that could be another cause.....

Bowtech Admiral. Not sure which strings were put on it. Thank you for the info!

Yeah I would tell that pro shop sry but that’s not normal and they can fix it or we will have problems. Maybe cut the string with a knife and send them pics see if they think that’s normal as well. Sounds like a bunch of lazy slackers there. If they won’t fix it put them on blast everywhere starting with there Facebook page.. I’d let them know I was as well. If it’s normal then why even serve the dang string..
