In my previous life I was in IT and managed servers across multiple time zones. This exact thing happened sometimes and did cause problems at times. Old habits die hard.

Dude, I had to look that up. We need to quit over complicating time zones.

Haha and try managing servers and their users across multiple TZs in different data centers on different TZs and your company did not use UTC (a/k/a GMT, CUT, Zulu Time). It was always one of the first tasks I ensured was clearly understood by all parties before any work was done. Made life just a little less IT crazy, but now it all just a distant memory (ok, not completely. )
