I had this built about 12 years ago and just do not shoot it so it’s time to find a new home.

-REM 700 action that was trued and bolt fluted.
-24” fluted #5 1:8
- McMillan Remington Hunter stock that’s not been bedded
- Timney trigger
- Factory BDL bottoms metal (can swap for Williams)

Round count is sub 250 and the rifle only has a few very light safe dings and marks from use.

It was put together by local Smith and shoots very very well with 140 to 162’s..

This rifle was built to the original PO Ackley specs before Nosler submitted their design to SAAMI and uses standard 280 REM or 30-06 brass. It is NOT recommended to use Nosler .280 AI brass due to the .014 difference.

I have standard Rcbs dies for it as well.

8lbs 2oz on my cheap scale without scope.

It also has been swapped to 2 piece 20 moa scope bases to facilitate loading.

I took the rifle to a gunsmith buddy along with fired brass from my rifle. My brass from this rifle measures 2.140 at the .375 datum line which is on the minimum end of original Ackley but also the exact match to Saami.

so saami ammo and brass should be perfectly fine in this chamber
