Are you thinking about or planning to sell a used suppressor in 2026? If so, what will you be offloading?

I’m hoping to take advantage of more used suppressors hitting the market. Should be relatively straight forward, right?

Scythe TI assuming it’s still intact by 2026 😆

My first can from a decade ago is a Saker 762 at 22oz. Bought it for a short barreled 6.8 build that I sold off. It’s a beast, I’d sell it but don’t think it’d be worth it. On the bright side it’s a SiCo product I don’t have to worry about blowing up, and resides on my whitetail 308.

Only relatively straightforward in-state. But you are still going to do paper forms, which aren’t as fast as the e-forms. With proper planning for the transfer timeline, it will work. The in-state process should look something like this:

1. Find a buyer
2. Complete and submit Form 4 paperwork, seller retains possession of suppressor until form 4 is approved.
3. Transfer suppressor to buyer

For out-of-state, add in transferring to an in-state dealer, then Form 3 to out-of-state dealer, then Form 4 to buyer.

I got as far as filling out the forms for an out-of-state transfer before I started doing napkin math on the timeline and fees. At that point, I decided to just keep it. If there aren’t huge delays, it may be much more viable about six months from now.

Hopefully, without the tax stamp, the lawsuits can get the rest of the process struck down. Then it would be just like transferring a firearm.
