Selling a Safari

Hey Folks,

I bought a South African Plains Game Safari that’s intended for 2-3 people at a banquet last year but the 2 guys that said they would go backed out. I’ve exhausted every option and at this point I want to get out from under the trip. I tried posting on the AH forum but they deleted my post because I’m not an outfitter or sponsor. The PH blessed off on selling the trip. I’m not sure if it’s against the guidelines on Rokslide to post the trip but I’m looking for suggestions if anyone has any.

What's it worth, have a consulate friend in Zimbabwe I'd like to visit before he leaves next summer. What country, what are other costs, what's included, etc.?

Hey Guys,

Seven days for three hunters included, extra days were encouraged at 240 per hunter/day extra.

One springbuck, one impala, one blesbuck, one gemsbok, one blue wildebeest, one red hartebeest that can be split between the three hunters. Each hunter has to add two animals. He’s pretty reasonable (https://mynyatisafaris.co.za/pricelist/)

Lodging and meals provided, soft drinks and alcohol provided within reason, and PH services and use of vehicles, field prep of the animals

Airfare, pre/post hunt excursions, additional trophy fees, dip/ship, and taxidermy costs not included.

The package cost me 5400, I’d like to recoup that. At the time the value of the trip was $12,500

My templated dates were April 2-12 2023.

Life’s a little too nuts at this point. It was a heck of a deal for a small group. All my buddies are building houses and paying for weddings/honeymoons who initially agreed to go in the trip.

Nope, I covered the initial cost. It was implied they would pitch in depending on what animals they wanted off the list when we were discussing our wish list.

Got excited until I looked at the fees on the website. So I learned that this outfit is in Ganyesa, South Africa and there are zero reviews when I Google Mynyati Safaris. Like they say on Shark Tank, for these reasons I'm out. Sticking with Namibia. Good luck.
