I've been eyeing off the seek outside revolution / fortress combo, but I'm a bit confused about the options and whats available.

Anyone have any idea what the standard frame size is? Is it 26 inches? On the ordering page you have to choose between 2in and 4in "RevoExtensions" - what effect do these have on the frame size?

I feel like there is an "explanations" section on the website I'm missing!

Anyone who can provide guidance would be much appreciated!

The frame alone is 24", then there are the 2" and 4" extensions that take it up to 26" or 28" depending on what you need based on your torso length and the load you want to carry. I have the Evolution and only ever use it at 28" (I'm 6'4" and have a long torso). Some people might use it as 24" as a day pack, then add the extensions if they get an animal to help with the payload. I also read about one person that broke it down to 24" so they could use it as a carry-on when flying.

I have the Evolution (2015 model) and here it is loaded with 88lbs of rock salt:

Whst Bruce said. You can use the frame encasement and bag with a 24", 26" or 28" frame depending on personal preference. 26" is a good standard option for most adult men (read: torso betwen 18 and 21 inches). It's not too tall, and provides enough lift for most/all loads. Tall folks and people who pack 100+ pounds will like having 28" as an option.

I wasn't too sure about the extension length when I ordered my Unaweep. So I ordered 4" extensions, and after some trial runs and harness adjustments, I cut them to about 2.5".

How do you like the overall fit of the pack. Any complaints. How would you compare to a duplex.
