I'm looking at different mid options, and I like the light weight and the modularity of the Lil Bug Out by Seek Outside. The idea of having two people (me and the wife) under the base in a nest with gear and dog under the vestibule is pretty appealing. However, most comments on the Seek Outside website say the 2-person nest is pretty tight for two.
I know that "tight" means different things for different people. Would it be tight for two married people who are used to sleeping in two-person backpacking tents?
I know the one entrance makes it seem even more cramped, but this will primarily be a backpacking shelter and not for car-camping when we want luxury. Another option we've thought about is the BT-2 nest, which has two doors and apparently works with the LBO as well as the BT-2. Two doors is nice, but a pole between the two sleepers is more of a bummer. Everything in life is a tradeoff, I guess.
