Purchased a Havak Ph2 a couple years back. Not sure if anyone else heard the same pitch, but was sold on if you ever shoot out a barrel, Seekins will replace it with a prefit for $500. I recently put a nomad TiXC on it, and even though it's a smaller can, with a 24" barrel it's longer than I'd like so I thought I'd reach out and see if Seekins offered a 20" option to replace it with. Their response was that they do not offer rebarreling services for any past generation rifles anymore... Assumed my window to utilize their rebarreling services would last longer than a year after buying the gun, so that sucks... anyways, just an FYI for anyone else in the same boat...

Wondering if anyone has had success getting a seekins barrel cut and threaded? Assuming the fluting poses a bit of a challenge....

I had a 24" PH2 cut to 18". You're smith will likely need to thread 1/2x28 but otherwise its easy for most any gunsmith to shorten a PH2

That's very disheartening to hear? That means their warranty is BS. what a weird world.

I’m confused… they offered, in writing, at time of sale, to replace a shot out barrel, at any time after purchase, but now aren’t honoring that?

Sauer has a similar thing but it’s only good for a decade and you have to register within ten weeks of purchase date. Your post reminded me that I needed to do that!

As for getting the barrel cut and threaded, this sounds like a good candidate to send to Kampfeld. I haven’t used him, but he comes highly recommended and he will get my next order.

Horrible customer service.
I remember reading that sales pitch when I looked at them.
I would sell it and not look back!
This is comical. Seekins has in the past offered $500 PH2 barrels. This was in no way, shape, or form tied to any type of sales pitch and/or warranty. It was solely a seperate product offered. Fast foward a few years, and we're now saying it is horrible customer service that a manufacturer won't sale you a barrel for a rifle that they stoped making two years ago? Sorry, but I don't see Tikka selling $500 barrels either.

Seekins will still sell you a ~$500 barrel for any of their current models (via EuroOptic). There are plenty of barrel makers that will spin you up a PH2 barrel for $600 or so, PBB being one..

Wouldn't say BS, rebarreling has nothing to do with warranty. I recently had an issue with a previous gen element, they resolved it by sending me a new model element. Good CS, although unfortunate about the barrel/parts support.
