Just curious if you own a seekins element what kind of groups you are getting at 100 yards? I'm considering a 6.5 PRC with the hope of getting 0.5-0.6 inch groups, but I'm not sure if that is a reasonable expectation and I'm curious what others are getting from their guns.

Seekins element 28 nosler, this is pretty common , imo don’t measure groups calculate mean radius and the standard deviation of mean radius.

Here’s my Element in 6.5 PRC. Have not hand loaded for it yet, but I’ve been happy with factory ammo so far.

Best 3 shot group with my 300 prc element was 9” at 1000 in South Africa. Usually im around 1”-1.5” out to 200. Seems the same at 100 and 200 for me. Factory 225 eldm ammo

A buddy bought one in 7 prc a few weeks ago. I’m helping him with load dev, but so far I’m impressed. Tested loads with 180 grain ELDM’s and 4831sc, and all 5 shot groups were awesome. All easily in the .5-.75” range, but max charge was slow at 2700, so we’re testing more this weekend. Going to try VV N165 as well as higher charges with 4831sc.

Overall, I’m impressed and think they’re very nice rifles.

Have an element in 308, loaded up barnes TTSX 168gr with varget powder and did some load development. Found 43gr loaded at maximum magazine length got me about .56MOA. Factory federal TSX 165gr was next best at .70MOA. Ive loaded up another 50 rounds at 43gr to see if that group will stay consistent and also how they will look at 10rnd groups.

I chased my tail load developing for the Berger 156. I have a thread here somewhere. Long story short I bought a box of factory 143 ELD-X to zero my scope after removing to check everything. My first three shots were touching and 20 rounds were under an inch. If I recall .75. I went back and bought 10 boxes of the same lot and called it a day.

I'm consistently impressed with my Norma GT across lots. Here's the lowest price I found, from my order last week (price already up a little bit).

I just got a 6.5 prc and in a couple quick range sessions to zero the rifle and check a few rounds for a quick look at what it might like. All Norma GT, berger 156 and hornadly eldx have been at, or under 1". Berger has been they best for me so far with the few groups at around .5". Hope to get out this week and run some 5-10 shot groups and see how it does with these three loads.

I have the Seekins Element in 6.5 PRC but it isn't grouping well with the Hornaday 143 ELDX ( 1 1/4 in @ 100 yds) or Terminal Ascent 130 gr Federal ( 1 1/2 in @ 100 yds). Has been cleaned after each session.

Should I try something else first or contact Seekins?

How many shots in your groups, have you proven you’re capable of shooting lightweight magnums well, and have you ruled out any possible scope or loose hardware issues?

Tell us about your sessions. How many rounds, bipod, bags and so on. You probably know all this but your first shot after cleaning will always be a flyer.
