You have no idea what you're talking about. Ph3 is a completely different animal. The action itself is tougher and more robust. 60 degree bolt throw which is as light or lighter than any 90 degree bolt throw, stronger 3 lug instead of 2, flat bottom action instead of round bottom meaning no glass bedding needed, integral 20 moa picatinny rail instead of screw on rail, dual ejectors, stronger sliding extractor that is actually built into and protected by the lug. These guns are good to go on any high pressure cartridges that come out in the future. If you think these are just "minor changes", you need to consider a different hobby thats easier for you to comprehendThe point is that it’s the same action/trigger and overall design that is already known. They changed the bolt to 60 degrees and went with 3 lug. Nothing else inherent to how the thing goes boom is any different.
It very well might shoot well enough for you to just leave the factory pipe alone. Every tikka ive been around have been awesome shooters. Thanks everyone for the help. I did end up getting a standard Tikka lite. I ended up going with the tikka because eventually I want to rebarrel it to a 6 Sherman Max or 6 PRC and it was the cheaper option. That brings me to another question I've only got the cash to do either the rebarrel or get a new stock at the moment. I,ve never shot a tikka before so do you think I should rebarrel it or get a stock first? My initial thought was stock but then I'd be paying to have factory barrel cut down and threaded to turn around in 6 months and have it rebarreled.
