I am in the market for a new rifle and the m3 is high on the list. The standard features seem to check about all my boxes. I have wanted a lightweight rifle for a while and now is the time! Primary use will be for TN deer hunting and the rare occasion of going out west. It will be chambered in 6.5prc Are you happy with the rifle? Pros cons? This will be my first carbon barrel.

I got mine put together yesterday! Out of the box it's NICE, not custom nice... but high end nice. fit and finish of everything is GREAT so far, chambers rounds and bolt work is very nice and smooth. I did the normal where I pull it all apart and degrease and loc-tite and re torque and everything and was very surprised to not have everything completely covered in oil like most manufactures. It wasn't dry but it wasn't dripping oil off the action screws.... as far as my initial thoughts, 9.6/10. Shooting it will tell me if it's a 10 or not.

I will shoot it saturday, and see how it goes. Will report back.

Seekins is a great company. If you want the carbon barrel - awesome. I don’t think it’s worth the extra money. Also, 6.5 PRC may be more than you need for TN deer or even the occasional western hunt. I’d go 6 creed or 6.5 personally.

I’ve owned three seekins - ther ability to change barrels is awesome. And they have great CS

I have several rifles so this one I want something “light”. 6.5 Prc might be a bit much but this is a hunting rifle. It will be be built to kill and not intended on a range rifle. I have shot a few thousand 6.5 saum rounds and killed a few animals with it. None of them have ever been too dead. Once barrels come available I’ll pick up something like 6creed. These rifles seem to really fit my bill.
