I’m clearing out the guns I’m not shooting and getting a new one. I’ve been interested in the Seekins rifles for awhile but never got the chance to handle one.

The havak element in 300 win mag seems to check a lot of boxes for me. The barrel is already fairly short at 22” and threaded for 5/8x24, the magazine is a bit longer so I can work with that (unlike my current 300). And people seem to like the stock and the weight isn’t bad at all.

Is there any reason not to get one of these? Is there anything else in the price range that could compete with it? It seems like a lot of fun for the money.

I’ve got one and it’s a hammer. Mine is in 28 Nosler.

They definitely check a lot of boxes and are pretty cool. I wish they hadn’t done the spiral fluting, but oh well.

Got a 300 win mag and love it. Can seat bullets long without issue. Gun shoots lights out with multiple loads. I really like the feel of the stock. Would definitely buy another one.

Nothing.. other than there's decent hornady factory ammo, it has a lot of support. They are ballisticaly pretty equal.

Right on. I’d consider the PRC if starting from scratch but I have at least a thousand brand new unfired cases, dies, bullets, powder etc.

I love my element in 6.5 prc, its an absolute hammer.

If you have the stuff already and long mag length will allow that 300 win to match the prc. No flies on it.

I handled one last week for the first time and really liked it. If you haven’t handled one yet I bet you’ll lean even more toward getting one. Bolt is smooth and I liked the stock a lot.

I have an element in 6.5cm. Shoots 147eldms around 2650 and sub moa 10 shot groups. With a swfa 3-9 and 3rnd mdt mag it's right at 7#. I'm very pleased with the rifle and would buy it again if I had too. I'm looking at picking up another in 6cm for the wife.

I've been shooting an Element in 6.5 CM for a couple of years now. It's an impressive little rifle with lots of "pro's". Very accurate and I love the integrated rail.

It took me a while to get used to the feel of working the bolt as it's light and doesn't have the same momentum as a heavier bolt. It's not a problem, just something that I still find odd when shooting it. Took a young buck with it last week and the different feel surprised me again when I worked the bolt....so I shouldn't say I'm used to it.

I’ve shot and used the Seekins Havak the past 2 seasons in 300 win mag! Absolutely a hammer past 1000 yds with 208 eldms close to 2900 fps with the 22 inch barrel. Have taken 3 mule deer and 1 elk. None took a step. Running the Trijicon Credo with it. Sub 8 lbs total and recoil is very manageable with spotting hits! Got mine from Europtics and they gave me a deal! My favorite rifle at the moment!

I’m playing with the idea of getting a havak and a ph2, one in 300 win mag and one in 6.5cm.
I’m sure you’ve noticed, but it’s really hard to find anything even marginally negative about seekins rifles… aside from tikka, seekins is the only factory rifle I’d consider at this point.

I have wanted one since the first gen havak. I should probably get on it before the price goes up. 6creed is what I really want

2 is always better than one in terms of rifles, I like your thinking

I’m going to give my ffl guy a call after the holiday and get a few of them lined up. I guess right now the last thing I need to figure out is which camo pattern I want and weather or not I want one with a coated barrel or plain stainless.

Do you guys who have them or have used them have the versions with the costed stainless barrels? If so, how is it holding up after a few seasons? I’ve never had a rifle with ceracoat or anything like that so trying to decide if I should go that route or not.

I don’t have a Havak, but I do have a few professionally cerakoted SS rifles. I have whacked them against metal and other materials, hunted in dry dusty to wet and cold environments. No issues at all.

That being said, I have not done any seaside hunting with them.

A friend of mine got a regular havak in 6.5cm.
I don’t care for it much at all, bolt seems real prone to binding when run even remotely aggressive and his doesn’t always pick up a round from the magazine. His rifle does seem to be very accurate.
Not saying don’t get it but based on the one I personally wouldn’t be too interested.
