Seekins Chassis now available

I’m guessing by polymer mags they are talking magpul mags? Poly mdt ones seem to work in most where the magpul ones don’t.

Edit: @bojangles808 and @HuntHarder - i really doubt they designed a bottom metal that doesn't work with plastic mags for tikkas but does with m700 patterns. My understanding is the conflict is with tikka action body not having clearance for the thick lips on magpul ai pattern mags and seekins is possibly not caught up to that not being a problem with MDT polymer mags? XLR and KRG used to say the same thing but lots of people do fine with MDT plastic mags in their tikka chassis.
yea somebody get this for a Tikka and confirm if MDT poly mags work. I might just get one haha

and confirm if they really are coming with a bag rider

also what is the range of the lop with no spacer vs max length of spacers. I think I'm talking myself into getting one just to try out

I may have missed this, but can you run the Seekins carbon mags in this in a 700 clone? Or could you need one of their actions to make those work? I previously understood you needed the bottom metal from their rifles but this would solve that in my mind and let guys run their 3.1” SA mags.

well.... i just got a shipping label scheduled for Thursday delivery

If that's accurate, I'll do a test fit with my SA Redline with BSF barrel. It's a thicker profile than sendero. I think it's a match bull barrel contour? 0.930"

Who did you order from? Keep us posted!

These are the max barrel contours according to Seekins rep. Last one is for the new Hunter chassis.

So I’m not trying to do the math associated with this thought (although it likely isn’t tough trig), but the seekins tenon and that spec starts at 1.2”. If I’m not mistaken, factory tikkas are 1”.

You are starting with a .2” advantage in “space” with a tikka barrel. That “may” allow for more channel as it approaches that 17” point.

(Yes I’ll try and do the damn math)

Edit: I think I just did a bunch of of fancy triangle math for nothing. I “believe” simply put with a .2” smaller starting diameter the bottom (barrel channel) will have an additional .1” of clearance throughout. If that assumption is correct it will likely fit closer to a .900” barrel at the end of 17” point.

I’ll have one in hand shortly and be able to confirm.

I just realized tenon doesn’t equal starting barrel thickness. My tikka measures about 1.2” as well. Errrrr.
