Something silent like the Sitka Jetstream Lite vest but with a zip-on/off hood. It would be for those times when it's not necessary to wear a jacket but a merino top along is not enough...like when ya enter the field at dark thirty but don't wanna work up a sweat. Must be silent for bow hunting. Any ideas? (Other than cutting my jacket that is.)

Cabelas fleece vest. They come in 2 weights, get the lighter one, it's about 35-45 bucks if I remember right.

I have a Kryptek Kratos Vest (1 not 2) in large Hylander that I'd sell cheap. Like New. It's got puffy-like nylon on the front/back, but the sides are a quiet stretchy material that also keeps a tight fit.

hooded vest might be a challenge to fine ( Ive never looked though) might be able to find a cheapy cabelas type fleece hooded jacket and just cut the sleeves off

Bought one here last week, not what I really want.

I picked up a cabelas power stretch fleece vest in their woodlands pattern for the same situation. Warm and quiet with hood. Actually surprisingly warm for the weight.

Yep that one

It arrived today...it is precisely what i was seeking. Thank you for the recommendation. it is silent and very soft, downright perfect for bow hunting and just the right amount of insulation. I especially like the added length...just ideal! Thanks!!

I had a Sitka Jetstream then had to sell it. It was nothing short of amazing. I love having a vest especially when it's late season. It's perfect for keeping your body heat regulated.
I bought a Nomad puff vest this past year and its nice too, but not for high activity. It's too warm. I think I might get another Sitka in brown or an Under Armour wind proof vest.
