I couldn’t resist the low price & got a Savage 110 LRH in 300wm from Cabela’s with the intention of rechambering. I’m hoping to find something that:
1. Accurately delivers energy to at least 600 yd for elk size game,
2. Can utilize barrel length of 22 in or less. Shorter woud be better,
3. Requires no bolt-face modification if possible
I already have 300WBY on heavier end & a bevy of 6.5s, 7mm-08, .308, 30-06. I. do reload, so more esoteric calibers would be OK.

7 SAUM was my initial thought with the long action allowing some leeway for COAL. I just wasn’t sure about powder burn, velocity loss with a 22 inch barrel.

I'm not that familiar with Savage rifles so I don't know but if this is a non fluted barrel model why not just have the barrel shortened up to whatever length you want and run it as is? The 300 Win mag is an elk killing machine.

Remington chambered the 7 SAUM with 22" barrels, I think it should perform just fine.

Shorten the stock barrel (26 in with included brake) is a consideration. However, I’m looking a way to exceed, or at the least approximate, 300 wm velocity from a shorter barrel as I want to attach a supressor.

300 Sherman Magnum, its a 300 PRC improved. You can shoot factory 300 PRC ammo.

I mean hell if you want esoteric, 330 dakota or a 358 norma. There are drawings for a 35 nosler too. 280 grain swift a frame in a 35 nosler would in my uneducated guess, hammer anything on north america.
27 nosler or 270 weatherby with a fast twist to shoot the heavyweight 270 bullets

If you want to get more velocity from a shorter barrel, you need a bigger bore. Look to something 338 cal. Also, unless you are sticking with 30 cal, you are looking at a rebarrel, not a rechamber. And finally, to rechamber without a setback on the barrel, your new round needs to be bigger than the current chamber in all dimensions, so that pretty much limits you to the big 300 magnums, which you said you already have.

What about 33 Nosler? Wonder if feeding would be an issue?
It should work. The COAL should be about the same. 338 win mag would be another choice to look at. Slightly shorter case than a 300 win, so you could seat bullets out a little further.
