Seek outside stove during burn ban?

That’s what I found as stage 2 as well. Unless I missed somewhere the area I’m in is stage 1 still which you can use a stove, but I will double check when I go out there to make sure it’s still stage 1. Thanks for posting.

Ok I’m a fire guy so here you go. Anyone about to light a fire just don’t. I know it’s chilly at night and even I have a SO stove but until the restrictions drop it’s a no go. The restrictions in place are due to live and dead fuel moistures. One snow storm will wet the one and ten hour fuels temporarily but to put things in perspective the trees are drier than the 2x4 on the shelf at Home Depot right now.

Restrictions are put into place at the forest level. If you are hunting the San Juan NF call the San Juan not the medicine bow routt. The local district offices will offer the best information. If you are caught with a fire right now I would not expect a warning because everyone is tired of fires.
