Seek Outside Lil Bug Out Shelter LBO

Hey everyone. i First want to thank everyone in charge of this forum and everyone that posts on here. This site is a priceless source of knowledge and opinion.

Currently I use a BA Copper spur UL2. Love the tent but looking for a one that is a little more versatile and that can accommodate a stove. For the most part I have decided to go with the seek outside LBO w/ vestibule. I will probably get the stove jack installed on it and also purchase the nest. I have searched the web pretty much everywhere and while there are posts, forums and sites that give some info, I feel like that all don't get in depth as far as actual use of the product.

What I'm hoping this post can turn into is some in depth discussion about this product, pros and cons. I would also love to see some pictures of the tent being used with the stove and hopefully the nest.

I live in Arizona and hunt here and new mexico. I enjoy getting back away and anyone that hunts here knows you are usually scrambling just before dark trying to find a semi flat spot to set up your tent on the side of the mountain. I see all these videos of people setting up there tents in a nice grassy field, makes me jealous. Anyway I would love all input, experience and photos anyone is willing to share. Hopefully some of the Seek Outside gang will comment here, they're decently responsive on the forums. You can always call them if you have questions, I've found them to be super helpful over the phone.

I just got the LBO base-tarp-base and I bought a vestibule as well so I can configure it in a multitude of ways. I haven't used it at all besides pitching it in my yard to seam seal and a few test pitches to try out configurations. I left it up through a storm this weekend and it weathered it nicely. So far I'm really impressed with it and the build quality. I'm stove shopping at the moment. Looking at the Ti goat Wifi.

There is alot of room in it for 2 guys and gear in the Base + vestibule configuration and the dual entries will be nice for 2 as well. I'm not sure about 2 guys with bows and packs being comfortable with a stove, but it would be a palace for one guy and gear with the stove.

I cant really see anytime I would want to use a floorless shelter with a nest. Why do you want a nest? seems like extra weight? If one is worried about bugs or want a floor, I would think a regular backpacking tent is good.

Good info. Thanks. A palace for one guy is what I'm looking for. There are a few times a year, unless there is a secret I don't know about, where The mosquitoes Are out of control. Those times I think I could justify the weight of the nest to sleep comfortable . I do like my copper spur, I just looking for a stove option.

This is an older LBO w/ 3 piece vestibule. There's a nice meadow under there somewhere.

The LBOs virtue is versatility. You can use the base alone as a solo shelter for nice weather; this rig has a smaller footprint and is much easier to fit in rough country. The base/3 piece vestibule combo is a palace for 1 and very nice for 2 with a stove. And you can add the tarp expander down the road for basecamp mode.

The Cimarron is slightly easier to pitch, and the Silvertip slightly more sturdy, but for the backpack hunter the LBO comes as close as you can to doing everything.
