Seating depth variation/tolerance?

I had the same inconsistent seating depth problem loading on a RCBS Rock Chucker. I determined the cause was slop in the press ram tolerances... my solution was to add a washer to the base of my seating die and adjust it to full lockup cam over...

In ultimate reloaders single stage press shootout the rock chucker was the most accurate and consistent press behind the area 419 zero press.

Gotta make sure you are getting consistent measurements. You should get repeat numbers measuring the same piece multiple times, if not you need better measuring instruments or more practice.
Do you actually think you are a good enough shooter to see a .005" difference in seating depth? Or your equipment and you are good enough to tell the difference?
