I was watching a video Aron had posted regarding what he packs and he said he packed "backstrap seasoning". I was just wondering what everybody packs as their go to seasoning for eating what they kill, or catch....?

TEXJOY!!! Every time my partner goes back down south I have him buy me a few bottles! I usually add a little powdered garlic n onion and fine ground black pepper as well. Way better than Johnny's salt, Montreal steak seasoning, and a few others I've tried!

Funny that you like texjoy it's made in my hometown but now I live in central Texas and can't find it anywhere. Have to pick it up when I visit my folks. +1 for the slap yo mamma too though.

We usually haul seasoning salt for hunting, or sometimes Montreal steak seasoning and a splash of red wine if weight allows...yum! On summer backpack trips where we catch lake trout, I bring dried onions or garlic and little single serving cups of butter.

Currently saving my pennies for a bottle of Dillo Dust. Really expensive, but it comes with a free Title II OBR Lite...

Camp Dog Cajun Seasoning by Papa Scott is the best I ever had. All my hunting friends use it year around as do I.

Goes good on everything.

Get U Some.

Right on, thanks guys. I was just gonna mix some salt and pepper and call it good. Now I see I have some taste testing to do!

Looks good. Ordered their $1 free samples they offer on their website. Looking forward to testing them out.

Montreal seasoning is my goto. Never w/o it.
I use it on all red meat. I'll add it to dry pancake mix when frying fish, or I can use it to make a gravy. truely multi purpose in the backcountry.

Last year on a couple trips with Aron, we brought Olive oil packets, with the very small season salt shaker containers, mixed Johny's with garlic powder and pepper! We ate 2 different elk, a mule deer, a bear, a moose, and a goat like this last year... Truly Meat Mode on the Mountain, grilled on a stick.
