seamstress threw my Kuiu Canadian Merino wool away

A few month's ago I bought some used Canadian Kuiu Merino wool base layer tops and bottoms here.
the tops had some small holes. Mendable though so I gave to a local seamstess to do her magic on them. Not a huge deal. Figured what I had in them and what she would charge to mend I would get good service out of them.

Called the other day and she remembered them but said she believed they got tossed out by mistake. Ouch, back to the drawing board.

So is she compensating you in any way? I'd be pretty pissed, even if it was an accident, if someone threw away something of mine.
