I'm buying a used ParaTarp and was wondering if I need to seam seal it. I imagine it would be a good idea to reseal it every once in a while.

Seam seal it for sure!!! A leaky seam sucks! Its cheap and easy and totally worth your time/effort as you'll be kicking yourself when you wake up in the night to a drip on your face while its pouring outside;)

Id it has already been seem sealed then you don't have to. If it hasn't then you need to.

Like Luke said. It doesn't hurt to do it

Put it under a sprinkler in the yard for a few hours then crawl inside and see where it leaks. That makes it a lot nicer than finding the leaks in a three day rain.

If going through all the trouble to set it up in the yard might as well seam seal it. :D

Luke I know....but I'd sprinkler test it anyway. That let's you know the problem areas before rain finds them. Learned that one firsthand.

I like the sprinkler idea. I'll probably seal it the sprinkle it. Make sure I didn't miss anything. :)

Once the seam sealing has been done,I've never had it fail.So I'd only do it if its not done already.
Still no reason not to set it up as soon as you get it.Who wouldn't do that?
Tim

Very easy to seam self it. I would go over it once at least. It wcould be worth it for sure. A paratarp should not take very long at all either
