Seam sealing Tarptent

So this might be a stupid question, but would I be fine using any industrial silicone, (Lexan or DAP 100% silicone sealant) , to seam seal my Tarptent or is the Novagard 200 series silicone that they sell on their site the only kind I should be using?

I would use what they recommend, either what they sell on the site or what they recommend.
I used this stuff which they recommend.

I used two packs doing my double rainbow, better to have too much than not enough.

Also, they recommend on their videos not only doing the inside seams on the floor, but also some strips on the floor for gripping your sleeping pad. I just did some strips on my pad itself.
