Looking into getting a compression sack for my sleeping bag, and I'm curious if the eVent is worth $20+ more than the cheaper $13 ones on amazon? I know the eVent is waterproof, but I've read reviews about it losing its waterproofness, and the amazon ones are "water resistant", which could mean a pretty wide range of water resistance.. I don't have an issue spending an extra $20 if the eVent is better than the others, but if I'm getting basically the same thing, I'll just get a cheaper one...

It's like buying a cheap case for a nice rifle. The outcome is rarely good.

It’s like most other things. Your buying a name. My buddy used one and liked it. Didn’t have a problem.
If you have Amazon prime, buy it and feel it out. If you like it, keep ir. If not, return it.
