SD whitetail.

Just looking for a general direction to take on going to SD to hunt whitetail. Not looking to kill a giant just hoping for decent numbers and a fun hunt. Will be my friends first western hunt. Have point in both black hills and west river. Thanks for any help.

How many points? Prairie units arent bad to draw depending on what you want. Hills can take 4 or 5 for a non resident. Look at the walk in atlas for prairie. That can help make the call. Don't discount mulies for west river deer too. If you can get the coveted any deer tag you'll be in the money.

I have like 10 west river points, but only 3 hills. I grew up in the hills, but haven't hunted that season since the late 80's, early 90's. You don't need 10 points, I just seem to accumulate them for some reason.
