SD Archery Draw

it’ll feel like home here in Ohio with out of state tags as far as the eye can see
It wont be that bad but for some reason every one and their mother thinks the nw corner is the place to be. With winter kill should be interesting. Just avoid rifle antelope and deer and grouse opener

I put on quite a few miles in that general area this spring and didn't come across any more dead deer than I normally have in the past few years. I obviously didn't cover the entire NW corner, but I'm pretty optimistic winter kill wasn't much of a factor.

A couple friends that ranch found more dead goats than deer but when the population was already in the dumpster it doesnt take much to make bad worse.

Of course I didn't draw, if there were 99% draw odds I would be the 1% that didn't! Ugg, oh well. Looking forward to the Unsuccessful emails that will come from other states this week and next.
I'm feeling your pain, this year has kicked me in the balls, everytime I thought there was a really good chance I'd draw a tag.

Good to know. Plan on getting there a couple days before archery opening and hunting the first week

You two need to tone down the negative vibes. 70%=100% in my mind. If I don't draw a muzzleloader tag I'm gonna throw my rifle in a creek.

I was thinking about applying for muzzleloader this year with 3 points because the odds are somewhat decent. Maybe I’ll just stick with a second choice whitetail tag for WR and burn my ER points. I think I’d feel too bad drawing over you when you have more points haha

LOL 😆

At least I know you would hunt the tag. I would bet $100 half those tags don't get used. I know three people that had them and never even used them. Too late in the year, cold, out of pto, or money, or wife patience.

That's a shame. In my opinion, It's the best deer tag in SD or at least the best deer tag I've held here. The only way it could be better is if it ran from 1-30 September instead.

I drew one. I won’t get to go until November when my sons football season is over. I have a ton of time to go in November and some in December if needed.

Sorry to all the SD residents who now hate me haha.
