Screwing with Scammers.

I had a rather threatening voicemail left from the “Canadian Revenue Agency”. I called the number back from my work phone and told them I was a detective from the online fraud division. I was immediately hung up on 😂😂😂😂.
According to a few voicemails I have multiple federal warrants and if I don’t call back I’m screwed, still waiting for agents to show up.

It’s late. I can’t post in correct order, but here are some…5A5405C6-EFB9-480C-8ACF-D51A1206476F.png

And more. The Martin guitar scammer I played for about a month. The little girl dying was a tag team effort from my realtor. He loved the guitar scheme so he now joins me in the playing. The anonymous text was
Just a random text I got after swapping service.

Few will get it.
This often works for grocery store member cards at check out.

The posters response is clever. Lol

for scammers asking for that, i reply: “Absolutely happy to verify, but it says you very have to verify this number given when calling [enter FBI phone number]. Can you call it and tell me the code they gyou so i can give you your code?”

A prevalent phone scam up here is an automated call from a spoofed number saying that the Department of Justice has taken out a warrant against your social security number (like, really?) . You need to press #1 immediately to avoid legal action.

How can I resist...

So this connects you to an "agent" - live person, probably in Mumbai, and he starts his spiel. I deploy my airhorn into the receiver...

"how did you like that?" I ask cordially.

"Now very well!" responds the agent.

Deploy blast #2 from airhorn.... click...

Seemed to have kept the calls down to a dull roar until recently. Time for more airhorn I guess. :D

Posted a used lawnmower on CL, and this jack wagon replied, anyone else have a story of screwing with one? Also his/her number is listed in the screen shot if you totally want to screw with them.

I have played along with some of them calling from "Microsoft" to "fix" my computer. I was shocked when they told me to EFF off in broken English after they realized I was messing with them. They have a lot of nerve for someone trying to steal from you.

I just remembered another one. A few years ago I had a repeat recorded call that would ask yes or no questions before you would get to a real person. I kept a youtube video open and paused right before an epic bull elk bugle and turned my speakers all the way up. The next time they called I got to the real person and let them have it. I am sure they are used to stuff like that, but I made me feel better to imagine blood coming out of their ears on the other end.

There's youtube channels by people who screw with scammers. Sometimes keeping the guy on the phone for hours at a time, even calling back the next day. They can turn the guy inside out and ends with the scammer losing his mind and screaming into the phone. Once the scammer is convinced the target has money and seems dumb enough to part with it, they'll put up with anything. Quite entertaining stuff if you've ever stuck in the DMV or waiting for a flight.

Back in 2014, some piece of sh1t scammer stole my boat pictures off CL and reposted it as his with some sad story about being in the army and having to move. I had photoshopped my phone number across the photos and he was too ignorant to notice. I started getting some weird calls asking about my boat that I had listed for about a tenth of what I had posted it for. I began searching around and found it listed in other states. I started messing with the guy. I kept asking him questions about the boat specifics. He just wanted me to stop asking questions and send the money - to the point where he got completed pissed off and told me to "keep hoping dumb f**k" when I told him that I had the authorities after him.

When I called the OK FBI office, they told me they already had over 1200 reports in the first 25 days in January 2014. Unbelievable how rampant this crap is.

I despise CL, every single time you get those annoying dumbass scammers.

I make it a point to offend every scammer that replies... it’s funny and ironic

Haha, you guys are really messing with them! I remember seeing a youtube video a while back of a guy that hacked a scammer's computer and deleted all his files!

Had a scammer call today. Something about unpaid utility bill, press one to handle it or experience service interruptions. So I asked “which property because I own several in multiple states” call goes quiet as he realizes that I’m not giving up anything then I hear him say “damn it!” as he hung up. I don’t own any property besides my home.

I'll answer the phone "detective Bob, state police. We are investigating a murder and you called on the deceased phone. How do you know Mr. Gladings. Don't hang up, I have your phone number recorded." You'd be amazed how long they will stay on the phone and try to convince you they're innocent. My wife hates when I do this.

My brother is a highway patrolman so he does this all the time!! He had an "IRS" agent call the other day. After he got hung up on he called them back 49 times. Guy was screaming at my brother and telling him to stop calling! Oh the irony.
