First year archery hunting mule deer. Got on a big buck for me, couldn't tell you what he would score, stalked him to what I imagine to have been 30 yds when I ranged him it gave me 55 yrds. The very inexperienced me decided to trust the rangefinder.

Nocked an arrow, pin in place, process felt good shot felt good. Arrow went right over his back.
Head snapped up then he bolted in about 5 secs

Last year I'll go out with a cheap rangefinder
