Scope Rings with the NF SHV

Just bought a NF SHV 3-10 by 42 and am putting it on a tikka roughtech. Not going to put a rail on yet. Was wondering what kind of rings people are using to mount the SHV to a long action rifle. Thanks in advance.

I have the same scope. I use talley lightweight rings

I just mounted that scope on a rifle….not a tikka but a sauer 100 which is also a long action. I used Burris two piece picatinny bases and Warne mountain tech low rings.

No rail. They mount right onto the integral dovetail on your receiver and have a recoil lug.
7-08 but the T3 actions are all the same length.

No they would definitely be too low. Mediums are perfect.
