Howdy!
I have a Savage Ultralite in 7prc with a pure precision stock and Warne 20moa base. I am a lefty shooter.
I currently have a Mark5HD 3.8-18x44 and Hawkins Precision Rings with the center level
I just picked up an NX8 4-32x50 (check classified for the Mark5 and rings soon) and am looking for new rings.
I haven't had any issues with the Hawkins Rings but am looking for something I can see the level while in the scope. I am actually right handed, but left eye dominate. Where it goes weird.. I have terrible vision in my right eye, so the strategy of seeing the bubble in my non-shooting eye isnt an option..
I am looking for a setup I can see the level in my shooting eye with minimal movement. In my range guns, I have success with the MKM rail mounted level of scope mounted levels at the 10:30 or 7:30 (o clock) positions. But for my hunting rifle.. durability, low snag, etc are MUCH bigger considerations.
I am considering:
UM Premier with the built in level
Ruff Precision (RPM) with the built in level
Hawkins Precision with the offset top
NF Ultralite/Warne Mount Tech with a MKMachine Ultra Low Profile or Extreme Low Profile Scope mounted or rail mounted levels
Any input or suggestions on what would be the best balance of durability/low profile/weight but also visible around the NX8 with your shooting eye?
Am I just SOL?
Thank you!
