I know that on most of my other rifles I can get away with a set of low rings for a 44 objective scope, but with a couple the bolt interferes if they are too low. Anyone put a 44 objective scope on a Weatherby Mark V? It's a 54 degree bolt so I am assuming it shouldn't be an issue, I would like to try it in person but having trouble finding any locally.

Yes quite a few
In leupold rings/ bases I use mediums with 30mm /44mm scopes, 1 piece leuplods as well. Talleys you could use lows since the sit higher.
Lows are typically too low if you have a Monte Carlo stock but will work with the backcountry stock.
If your thinking of running a rail then ultra lows will work, I use .850 low zeiss on a 50mm that are perfect.
Here's medium leupold 1 piece with 30mm vx5hd 44mm objectives

You can likely run lows then
What style of rings are you going to use?

most likey Talley, I've had success with them and the Warnes, but I dont like the vertical style of the Warne..just personal preference.

Warnes offers a Horizontal line and Leupold offers Back Country "all in one" like the Talley also. Im with you though, i ran the verticals for years but now i cant stand them.

Ive got Talleys on my Ultra Light Arms but frankly im not a fan. Sure wish Leupold sold them that would fit mine. Back Country are 7075 and almost as cheap.

Ive got Seekins 30mm lows (.820"), 42mm OBJ on a Murphy rail and on that rail they are taller than is needed for clearance. I didnt want to shell out $170 on a set of Farrells but he does offer even lower 30mm rings. About the lowest 30mm rings you will commonly see are .820".
