Picking up a Henry Single Shot in .243

I used to have one in 45-70 that was pretty sweet after swapping the trigger spring. It had a Leupold 2.5-8x36 on it.

I'm considering going that same route, but I really like my Meoptas and the 6x42 German Reticle might work really nice.

Target practice would be 500 and in. Hunting would be 300 and in.

Anyone have a preference on one of these scopes given this rifle?

Too much verity these days.

You can make a close out nikon scope work but would always wonder if you should have gotten the Meopta. Go for it.

MeoPro for me as well. Fantastic reliability and dialing/tracking. Lightest MeoPro I could buy would go on that rifle.

I just put a MeoPro and Talley light weights on my single shot Winchester 1885 Low Wall chambered in .17 WSM. Great set up there.

One more thing... That’s a really sweet rifle congrats!

Appreciate the feedback. I'll post a pic when the new gun gets here.

Pics of the new one in 243.

Looks just as good as the old one in 45-70
