Scope mounting options...

Waiting on delivery of a new rifle (Browning X-Bolt Pro Long Range/7Mag) and just purchased a Steiner T5Xi 3-15x50 to put on top. I was thinking about getting a Talley pic rail with 20 moa built in https://www.talleymanufacturing.com...browning-x-bolt-w-20-moa-anti-cant-indicator/. With the scope only being 13" long and a 34mm tube, what rings should I be considering? Steiner is recommending tall...

Tall doesn’t tell you anything when every manufacturer has different specifications. That is a pretty chunky scope so I would recommend first Nightforce Ultralite 34mm med 1” rings. Second ARC M10 34mm “low” .94” rings. Third Warne Mountain tech 34mm lows. Of course you can go with any brand you prefer. Look for 34mm with a height of 1” or there about.

I’ve been testing a set of 34mm 1” rings from Pure Precision for a few weeks now. They are the only ring I’ve used that grip the scope so well you almost need to lube them to let you level the scope! Very impressed so far. Have mounted both a 34mm ATACR and I just mounted a T5Xi yesterday on this 28 Nosler with them. $150 for this set and their shop is about 100 yards from mine.

very impressed with the hawkins precision. The 34mm Low rings are .885", would mount .015'' lower than the rings HC posted above, which may be too low depending on how tall your scope rail sits. Has built in scope level. very well made.
