Scope Mounting Issues on Savage 110

Hey everyone,

Just got this Savage 110 timberline in 7PRC and am having trouble getting my Burris Signature HD 3-15x44 scope on it with Vortex Pro low rings.

The combination of the savage design and tube length of the scope make the scope touch the Pic rail.

Considering cutting and grinding the rail for some clearance as I don't want the scope to be too high.

Also wondering if there is a 2 piece base I can swap the pic rail with that will work with this scope.

New to this so any help is appreciated!!!

Screw Spacing - 5.062" ???
Scope Tube Length - 5.21"

I think you're gonna have to go with higher rings. Doesn't look like you can cut enough off of the rail to fix both ends, and you haven't even measured for proper eye relief yet I'm guessing so that scope may need to go further back or forward in which case the rear comes into play as well. If you can cut the front and move the scope back a little would be the only way I see it working.

EGW makes shorter rails, but I don't think it's going to be an issue just cutting the existing one assuming you have reasonable skills/tools.
