Scope Leveling

Who else mounts a scope using a laser Level? Is there a more accurate way?

I’ve only ever set mine with bubbles so I’m sure you’re more accurate with that process!

I do mine with a machinest level. Probably a little more accurate than your way, but what I've found is that it's impossible to get it perfect. I can't come up with a way to hold the rifle rigidly enough to stay square while torquing screws.

A 98 level will also show you stuff you'd be better off not knowing, like the tops of the rings not truly being co-planer, stuff flexing while it's being torqued, etc. Almost nothing involved is rigid enough and flat enough to get it truly level, at least on my junky stuff.

I use this. I then verify or fine tune with a plumb bob on my fence in the back yard.

I have also used feeler gages between the erector and the pic rail.

I think its hard to beat the Badger Ordinance device.

I use a plumb bob with mine, but I don't think it makes any difference over the OP's laser.

I started using a Level Right, seems to work better than bubble levels for me
