Scope for S&W500

Needing a scope for a S&W 500 rifle. It was my dad's and he had a cheap Bushnell on it. Short story is well it couldn't handle the recoil. I now have it and am looking to put a new scope on it for hunting some moose in some thick stuff. Max range is 100 -150yards would be my guess.
What's yall suggestion?

Not really a scope however, I run a Leopold Delta Point on my 460. I feel comfortable, when steady, shooting 75-100yds. I've seen a few run a Leupold VX3 2.5-8x32 on their 460's and 500's.

Wasn't sure if the vx3 series would handle the recoil. This will be on a rifle not a handgun.
