Scope decision. Vx6 4-24x52 or NX8 4-32x50

Looking at putting a new scope in my Seekins havok element 6.5 PRC. Currently running a razor lht 3-15x42 but want more magnification. Leaning towards the nightforce NX8 4-32x50 but seen that the Leupold vx6 4-24 is on sale since the new gen is out. Any one have experience with both?

I have owned both and still own the NF. My 4-24 VX6HD had a wandering zero, drove me nuts. I would do a nighforce or a trijicon tenmile.

Lately it has come to the attention of several moderators on here that the posting of threads in the "General Forum" which are not suitable for the "General Forum" and are more suitable for the other forums such as "Elk Hunting", "Mule Deer", "Clothing", or "Gear" forums (for example) are becoming increased and the moderators and owners of the site are spending more time moving threads to their proper forum than working on our awesome reviews and being able to police the entire forum.

Vx-6hd 3-18x50 would be my vote. The depth of field and eyebox on the vx-6hd will be better than the nx8. But the nx8 has better reticle choices.

If your primary use is hunting inside of 500 yards I'd suggest looking at the NF 2.5-20 rather than the 4-32. A wider FOV (2.5x vs 4x) will come in handier for hunting application than the top end power difference. Just my $.02.
