Mainly Looking at these 3 scopes for a Ruger M77 220 Swift. Thinking the 220 needs the higher magnification. These are all in the 700-800 price range. The Ziess is more money but I wont need to buy new rings for it. Most of my scopes now are Leupold but that doesn't mean I have to stay with them. Ruled out the Swarovski Z3 as 12 power is the top.
Leupold VX5 HD 3-15x44 30mm tube
Tract UHD 3-15x50 30mm tube
Ziess V4 4-16x44 1 inch tube
Meopta MeoStar 4-16x44 30mm tube. adeded this but its out of my price range.
Of the 3 what stands out to you??
Thanks for any input.

Coyotes mainly. Its 455 yards from the house to one of the hays fields. That would be where most of the shots would be.

We've been selling lots of the Meopta fixed 7x56 for Coyotes

MeoStar R1 7x56 with #4 Reticle reduced from $849.99 to only $499.99

MeoStar R1 7x56 RD with 4C Reticle reduced from $999.99 to only $674.99

personally I would want at least 18 power and would not feel hurt with 24x.
I have several straight 24 x scopes for varmint work.
shoot the heaviest bullet you can and let er rip.

Ya, I hear you on the more power. Friend said he has a straight 36 on his 220. The higher magnification drives up the price pretty quick, I'll have to catch something at a really really good price.

Have you considered these scopes: thermal scope (in a link) ? My friend recommended them to me and I agree that they are the most fitting choice for me now. I don't know about you, though.
