I need to get some of the bungees on hand. I forgot to order thoseOk, went out to zero the "RS 95" this morning. -5* out.
These caps are secure, and passed a "snow toss" test. They also were easy to pop off and secure back on while wearing my gloves. These caps are much less of an annoyance than the Butler Creek flip ups, especially when "open," and will likely last a LOT longer, as I've had poor luck with BC's lasting when actually used hunting.
I purchased two replacement sets of the bungies that secure the caps, as that looks like the likely failure point, and will keep a set in both of my bino harnesses. I found it interesting that the bungies are size specific, not one size fits all.
My sentiments exactly. Not for "every" rifle, but worth it, IMO, for any hard use rifle(s) you hunt hard with.Ordered a few of these on the BF sale and tried them out last week. Super imressed overall. Spent full price to order a few more so all my "user" rifles are covered. Seem expensive for what they are, but I do really like what they are.
Well, 44mm fits too loose (could single wrap elec tape under? 43.5mm pushes on there tight/secure so that’s what I’m sticking with for a SWFA 3-15 G2.So for anyone else considering, I got these for a gen 2 3-15 Swfa…..might have to exchange the ocular, the 44 long is a little loose, their recommended objective fits nice and tight. The make a 43.5mm long, not sure if that would actually fit better….
