I have a 375 H&H CZ 550 Magnum that I purchased a while back has open sights, looking at putting a scope on this rifle. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Warne CZ Rings. That is what I used to mount a Leupold 1.25x4 VX-R on my CZ550 in .416 Rigby.
They work really well. Just shot it yesterday as a matter of fact.

As is typical for the CZ 550 actions out of the box they need some massaging. It has about 60 rounds run thru it so far and I have cycled the action about three times that many so far.
I have a load with Hodgdon Hybrid 100V and a 400g Hornady DGX that I chronoed at 2550fps this weekend. No pressure signs on the brass or bolt lift but it is up there in pressure I suspect as it is generating 458 Lott numbers. Recoil is pretty stout as I shot a 3 round group off the bench and one laying prone.
It grouped well at 100y considering I was looking through a 4x scope. It is zeroed at 50y.
I hope to get a hog with it soon but would like to find some bullets that expand a bit better/faster than the Hornady Dangerous Game Expanding rounds.
Sorry for the divergent post BigTimber

Sweet rig, hows the recoil compared to a .375 H&H?

As far as rings go, I'm using the Leupold QRW rings on my Whitworth Express. Cabelas as the Leupold CZ rings on sale.

I've got a set of Warne 30mm that I'd part with but I must warn you....they just don't compare to those made by Alaska Arms. I have two sets of the AA that not only work great, they look great also.

Husky, Thanks. My 375 shoots 300g bullets vs the 416's 400g bullets. That is a pretty big difference flying out of the end of the barrel. I bought the 375Weatherby very lightly used and the guy who owned it previously was a lot recoil sensitive and put less than 5 rounds thru it and sent it to a smith to have it braked. The brake was installed and it did not cut the recoil enough for him after 5 more rounds. Back to the smith it went and he asked the smith to make the brake more effective. Well the smith opened up about every other or every third hole in the brake to allow more gas to escape laterally. A few more rounds and the original owner said no mas. So I got it for a song with about 15 or less rounds run thru it but the muzzle brake looks a mess. I have not shot it yet with the thread protector on it only the muzzle brake.
I have not chronoed the 375 Weatherby yet however I expect it to be pushing the 300g bullet at about 2850 or so.
My 416 Rigby was pushing the 400g at 2550. So figure about 5223 foot pounds of energy vs 5775 foot pounds at the muzzle.
Again sorry to the OP. Perhaps I will make a new post in the Firearms section with pictures and stats of my two big bores?
