Does anyone have an input on the fit of schnees beartooth?

Also, I am curious as to how they stand up against competing high end hunting boots.

Thanks

There are numerous threads talking about the fit and quality of the boots. I’d look through those and then ask those members your specific questions. Bet you’ll find the answers your looking for.

Fair, lots of good info on here and people are real willing to help if you’ll put in a little effort.

For the beartooths, I feel like they’re a great boot. Toe box is a little tight which for me was solved with a looser lace above the toes and a blue superfeet insole. Customer service is great if you call them. You will also see them on here relatively active and providing insight where necessary. Boots are worth checking out or at least calling and discussing options with their CS.

I’ve had multiple pairs of Crispi, Salewa, Hanwag and Salomon boots, none have made it through two seasons. I have a pair of Beartooths that’ll be going on their 6th season this year.
I have pair of Hanwags on it's third resole. I had a pair of gronell’s(non-schnees) make it to a third resole before leather split. I had a pair of Missions that made it six months. I think longevity is model specific, as I know the Schnees Mission won't out live the bear tooth or hanwag Yukons/Alaska.

Agreed, synthetic boots won’t last as long. I’ve had a ton of boots and just stating the schnee’s has outlasted them all.

I can say the same. Re-soled my Hanwag Alaska GTX 3 times over 8 years of hard use. Easily put 500+ km worth of training hikes/year plus whatever I walked on my spring bear hunts, fall elk, deer, goat hunts. They finally started leaking last year on season 9 during a week of lazy whitetail hunting.

I wear custom orthodics that are very hard on goretex liners and they still made it nearly a decade. I recently purchased a pair of Hanwag Tapper Tops, same quality but a very different boot. I'll be picking up a new pair of the lighter Alaska's as well.

All that said, If I had to choose between the best fitting boot or the longest lasting boot, I would choose boot fit any day of the week.

My 0g beartooths are probably may favorite boots. Not to mention, their customer service continues to blow me away.

100% truthful, we hear this all the time. Seriously... It's a big point of pride for us and something that even Remi Warren has told me. Always great to hear! - Matt

We're always happy to answer any questions you may have. In addition to our boots, we do carry Lowa, Salewa, Crispi, Oboz, Scarpa and a few others in our store. - Matt

I wanted to like them but even with a 14w the boot was just too tight for my foot.; and I dont wear a wide in anything else! Contruction and waterproofing on the boots was great I just couldn't deal with the pain. I've got them in the classifieds now.
