For sale is a Scheels branded 4-12x44 scope, silver in color. Maybe 10 years old or so but in excellent condition, the lenses are pristine and only a few smudges on the finish (no scratches) from taking it into the field. Comes with original box and manual, plus a set of Butler Creek caps. I'll also throw in a reference chart I made up for the reticle by using an optical chart to measure the reticle's subtensions.

This scope weighs 15 oz.

I was comparing this to some other similarly powered models I have (a 4-16 HST and a 4-12 Leupold) and with them all set on 4x this Scheels scope had the biggest field of view of all of them, just edging out the HST

As far as I know, this scope should still carry the Scheels lifetime warranty since it is a branded product. No questions asked on warranty exchanges. I believe this scope has since been discontinued, so they would likely replace it with whatever their current equivalent model is should anything happen to it in the future.

Asking $100 shipped via UPS. Payment through PayPal F&F or add 3%to cover their transaction fee.

A few quick thoughts to answer your question...
While I'd say it's definitely clear enough to see squirrels at 200, I'm not sure this scope would be a good fit on a rimfire. It has a fixed parallax at probably 100 yds (maybe even 200 which is what the BDC reticle in it is set to be zero'd at?) which would make it hard to zero a 22 at say 25 or 50 yards if that's what you were going for. I believe Vortex offers some "rimfire" models in the crossfire/diamondback lines which would have more appropriate parallax.

I've looked through a few Diamondback scopes before and would say this is probably in that same realm of clarity although I'd say the newer HP models in the DB line edge it out in image brightness.

Not trying to discourage you from buying, just trying to be transparent
